Research at FNB
Research at FNB includes the development and analysis of numerical tools and their application on various mechanical engineering problems. For the discretiziation of the continuum mechanical field equations under consideration finite element-, finite volume- and spectral methods are utilized. The process of solving the linear or linearized systems of equations is of special interest regarding the numerical efficiency. Therefore parallel computing techniques, multigrid methods as well as different adaptive strategies are developed and analysed at FNB.
